Frequently Asked Questions
You deserve a personalized insurance experience. Choose VanDrisse Insurance to help protect your future.
Q: What kind of information do I need to generate an auto insurance quote?
A: Insurance companies need information on the people who will be driving the vehicle as well as the vehicle itself. Our staff would need your names and driver’s license numbers for each driver in the household (including middle initials), address, phone number, and whether or not you own your home.
For the vehicle, the VIN (vehicle identification number) would be best, but even knowing the make, model and year is helpful, along with whether or not it is currently insured. Please be sure to include your phone number and/or email address so we can get back to you. Call our office or Click Here to go to our online quote request form.
Q: What information do I need for a homeowner’s insurance quote?
A: Our staff needs your full name, address of the residence you want to insure, and whether this is a new purchase or your existing residence. If you are buying a new home, when is your closing date? Call our office or Click Here to go to our online quote request form.
Q: What is an umbrella policy?
A: An umbrella policy provides liability coverage over and above the liability coverage contained in auto, homeowner’s and business insurance policies. The amount of coverage generally is $1 million.
Q: What information do I need for a business insurance quote?
A: Insurance companies consider a number of variables when they generate insurance quotes. The best option is to call our office and discuss your needs in detail. However, there are some basic pieces of information we will need that you can forward to us on our website’s quote request form to get things started: the business’s name and address; contact person’s name and phone number; a brief description of the type of business; the number of years it has existed, and the length of time the owners have held it, if different. Call our office or Click Here to go to our online quote request form.
Q: What information do I need for a health insurance quote?
A: It depends if the quote is for an individual or family, or for a group. For an individual or family, we would need the names and birth dates for everyone who would be covered by the policy, and their relationship to the primary insured. For example, are you a single applicant? Applicant and spouse? Applicant and children? Applicant, spouse and children?
We also would need your address (including county), whether or not anyone included in the quote uses tobacco products, and the effective date you would like coverage to begin. Call our office or Click Here to go to our online quote request form.
Group coverage is a more complex question. We suggest you call our office to talk with one of our group health agents for an accurate quote.
Q: What information do I need for a life insurance quote?
A: Since life insurance policies cover individuals, we would need the names and dates of birth for each person needing coverage, their gender, whether or not they use tobacco products, desired death benefit, and approximate height and weight. That will allow our team to put together a general quote, but final underwriting decisions are up to the individual insurance carriers.
